Terms of service

1. The service

VINDICIS is Cyber Hygiene Self-Assessment Software and a GDPR Art. 17 Compliance Toolkit operated by [RAGIONE SOCIALE], a private individual, [INDIRIZZO]. It checks an email address you own against public breach sources and provides legal templates you can send yourself.

2. What the service is not

VINDICIS is software and document templates. It is not an investigative, detective, security-consulting or legal-advice service. We do not look people up on your behalf. With the monthly plan the software can send GDPR requests about your own personal data, on your documented instruction and from your account only; it does not act as your lawyer and cannot guarantee any outcome.

3. Acceptable use

• Scan and verify only email addresses that you own or are expressly authorised to check.
• Do not use the service to profile, harass, track or gain access to another person’s accounts.
• Use the sending function only for requests about your own personal data, and provide accurate details.
• Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, ownership verification or other protections, or to overload the service.
• We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.

4. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Plans, payment and withdrawal

• One-off audit: €7.99. Monthly plan “Personal Cyber Tech Expert”: €14.99 per month. Prices include VAT.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record.
• The monthly plan renews automatically until you cancel in the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• The paid audit is digital content delivered immediately. By completing the purchase you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery has started, where the law provides for this. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

6. No guarantee of completeness

Results depend on third-party sources that may be incomplete, delayed or unavailable. A scan with no findings does not prove an address is safe. Each company decides on every GDPR request: we send and track it but do not guarantee that data will be erased or that a company will answer. The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind beyond what the law requires.

7. Third-party sources

Data comes from Hudson Rock, LeakCheck, XposedOrNot and Have I Been Pwned. Their availability and terms are outside our control.

8. Intellectual property

The software, design and texts belong to [RAGIONE SOCIALE]. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the service. The erasure templates may be freely used and sent by you.

9. Liability

Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the event. We are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions you take based on a scan.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

Italian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and the jurisdiction of the courts of your residence. EU online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
